Listening to the new Kraftwerk live double cd that just came out called "Minimum-Maximum". God, they sound unbelievably great live!

Yes! In a heartbeat! My husband would be bummed, however. [;)]

He doesn't get my obsession with new wave (or this website, LOL). A couple days ago I asked him what his favorite new wave band is. He said, "Other than New Order, Bow Wow Wow, and the English Beat, I probably couldn't even identify any new wave bands." He seems to like the stuff I play (at least he doesn't complain), but he couldn't care less what it is. His taste in music is much more mainstream (classic rock, prog rock, lite jazz, and mainstream radio pop/rock). I don't know what is more sad, his apathy about music, or my obsession over it.

Imagine living with someone who listens to Cher non-stop. If not Cher, *shudder* Journey.

Ugh! Journey! [Contorting body in dry heave motions] To quote my dear friend Bruce (now deceased),
"That makes my asshole pucker!"

He would say that about anything truly revolting.

I've always thought that "Cynical Girl" and "Cruel To Be Kind" should've been packaged together -- even though they're from different artists. Still, it would have been cool.

The Stone Roses - I Want to Be Adored..."I don't need to sell my soul, he's already in me." I wish I knew what the F it all means!

I think he's referring to the devil. One of the best songs (and bands) to come out of the whole Mancunian rock scene of the late eighties / early nineties. This track REALLY stands the tests of time. Pity they never lasted.[V]

Blanket of Secrecy - Say You Will

I loved this song in the 80's and I'm thrilled it's on MikeP's Song of the Week CD.
