The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's 191 & 192

Postby Rissan » Wed Dec 01, 2021 12:49 am

Dear NW Outpost community,

I have been thinking in the past couple of weeks. Creating these compilations is very time consuming. With a General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) exam coming up in the next couple of months, which needs a lot of study, I won't be able to spend any time on the creating of yet a bunch of compilations. I have decided to call it a day after the end of this year. I guess 200 volumes will be enough and I hope I have shared a lot of interesting stuff with you over the years. So what to expect in these last few weeks of 2021. Well the last ten volumes will be a mix of the regular ones and thematic ones. I am incubating on several thematic themes, and hope to get them finished by the time they need to be placed. Meanwhile here are Volume 191 and 192, as usual, up for one week.

The tracks:

Volume 191

01. The Units - A Girl Like You (4:05)
02. Big Bam Boo - Shooting From The Heart (5:35)
03. Aus Decline - Five Years Life (4:13)
04. Sharon - Wot A Wally (2:50)
05. Distant Thunder - Tin Soldiers (3:32)
06. The Fast Set - Junction 1 (3:29)
07. Nasa - Mist Of Time (6:04)
08. Front And Fantasy - Treatment (6:21)
09. The Short Wave Mystery - Pilots (5:44)
10. Easterhouse - Come Out Fighting (4:04)
11. Max & Intro - Loš Je Dan (3:33)
12. Neon Judgement - One Jump Ahead (3:16)
13. Flip - Plague Of Hearts (3:31)
14. Australian Crawl - The Boy's Light Up (4:38)
15. The Hitmen - Bates Motel (3:18)
16. Yukihiro Takahashi - Sailor (4:23)
17. Voice Farm - Johnny Belinda (3:50)
18. Living In Texas - Cowboy Dream (3:47)
19. The Questions - Building On A Strong Foundation (3:37)

Ris, I will echo Xymo’s comment, for anyone who’s ever put a collection together with multiple volumes will know just how difficult it can be! The time it takes to research, compile, extract, no repeats etc is very time consuming! To reach 200 volumes is absolutely staggering, mind blowing and I believe a first for an 80’s series! I congratulate you and a virtual applause from me. Job very well done my friend! Perhaps we can release our final volumes on the same day (December 24) as a farewell Christmas gift to the forum!!! :D Cheers

This is really sad news, but we should all be grateful for all the work that you have put into creating these excellent 200 volumes.

Many Thanks, Rissan!
