So many videos on that list that I would just love to watch again. And right now, I don't have a DVD player. :(

As far as the PAL format and things like that go, does that have any compatibility issues with DVD players, as I believe it did with VCRs?

Yeah, unfortunately they do have compatability issues...

Oh, yes. The TV system is incompatible, and the DVD would not play in an American DVD player. We use NTSC in the US, and without a PAL DVD player (from Germany, each DVD has country codes), and multisystem TV, it won't work. There are multisystem VCRs

Yeah multisystem players do exist. I just heard about these myself, as I have been using a PC DVD-ROM to view these discs up 'til now. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Here are some links for outfits in the US that sell multisystem,

On the subject of region-free DVD players ... right now the coolest option looks like the carousel players which not only play MP3 discs but have built-in NTSC/PAL converters. Here's a couple that look interesting, but I think I'm going to wait one more g

To answer your question Fab, I don't actually have a copy of this DVD yet... I expect that I'll pick up a copy with my next CD order from Germany.

I do have Vol.1 and it's quality is fine (as 80's music videos go anyway). Sony doesn't really put out

I just recently got myself a multi-zone DVD. I love to see these videos, can I get a copy please?

You can pick up both volumes and many other good titles from http://www.amazon.de (German branch of Amazon.com). If you have trouble with the German, just review the US site. The layouts are virtually identical except for the language.
