Can anybody tell me why this video is not on any of the New Order video compilations, namely Substance, The Best Of, or A Compilation?
Neither the concept video:

Nor any of the live versions.
And who made the concept video? Peter Saville? Michael Shanberg? Ollie Stench[:D]?

Goddammmm, that song is good. Never even heard of this video before. Just goes to show you, you can never know everything about a band. And for the record, I think I dig this video more than that doggie one.
edit: Hey Schwenk, did you hear about Hooky spinning tonight at Hiro? I might go.

Actually, I've seen this before. [:D]
From what I know, this video is included in one of the Factory videotapes. I've read it somewhere else on a YouTube comment.

Yes... it is included in one of those tapes.
I've just realised that I've got lengths of No. collecting to go... [:p]

Factory Shorts- a PAL format videotape-no wonder I didn't know about it! I could buy the tape, but not be able to play it!
But it is not a New Order compilation, rather a Factory comp.

My God I've never seen this. Well done; certainly preferable to the Top of the Pops clip they used to play on MTV.
Was this a promotional video, per se? It reminds me of something meant to be played in clubs or, perhaps, as background for a live performance . . . maybe it wasn't meant for music television?
It also looks an awful lot like Cabaret Voltaire's Doublevision videos of the same era; I wonder if there's any relationship there . ..

I used to play this video at The Odyssey and at Club Osko's in L.A.
I was also great for ambient video as well
