Dear Lois,
The version included on this compilation is the original 12-inch version off the Motown label. It's basically an extended version, pure and simple.
The compilation is very good. There are three discs divided into a "Pop" disc, a "Club" disc and a "R&B/Funk" disc. It's worth picking up if you're trying to find, like me, certain mixes on CD.
