Hi,
All day today I thought I would try and come up with a list of songs that I believe are in high demand or would be great additions to the Retro:Active series. Here is what I think, I would like to know what you guys think and maybe we can get some of these tracks on a future compilation.

Tracks:
1. Private Lives - Memory Of Your Name (Extended Version)
2. Europeans - Recognition (New York Dance Mix)
3. Ebn Ozn - Bag Lady (Late Nite Version)
4. Peter Baumann - Strangers In The Night (Long Version)
5. Units - A Girl Like You (Part 2)
6. Men Without Hats - Pop Goes The World (Dub Mix)
7. Alphaville - Red Rose (Extended Version)
8. English Beat - I Confess (Dance Mix)
9. The Fleshtones - Roman Gods (Extended)
10. Divinyls - Pleasure & Pain (Extended Version)
11. Sleeping Lions - Sound Of My Heart (Baroque Mix)
12. Wang Chung - Dance Hall Days (U.S. Club Edit)
13. Cock Robin - The Promise You Made (Extended)
14. The Adventures - Send My Heart (Across The Sea Mix)

Thank you,
Justin/DevoManiac101

I think you have some EXCELLENT picks for RA5 cd. If my pick for OMD - Tesla Girls [:D] (Extended Mix) would be on there also, I would say we have a winner. I really like the idea of Men Without Hats - Pop Goes The World (Dub Mix), & English Beat - I Confess (Dance Mix).

Well, let's replace "Red Rose" with ....

OMD - Tesla Girls (Extended Version)

I agree this would be a fine choice to add, I really love the 'break' in that extended version, OMD are great for 12" versions [^]

Thanks, Justin/DevoManiac101

I prefer OMD's Never Turn Away.

I would also like to see Depeche Mode But Not Tonight US 12" version by Robert Margouleff.

Depeche Mode - But Not Tonight is a great song.

What rare Depeche Mode songs or mixes do you have?

I don't have a lot of really rare Mode stuff (unless you count MP3s). Even though Mode use to be #1 for me to collect, I generally stuck to commercial releases or the odd promo if they have something exclusive on it. Bootlegs are usually overpriced, especially now with EBay.

Maybe the rarest song I have is that But Not Tonight US 12" (which really isn't that rare), or those original CD5s of "Get the Balance ...", "Everything Counts", "Love, in Itself" with the live tracks (again not that rare). The live tracks are great!

I have also noticed the high prices of DM Bootlegs on Ebay. [:0]

Yeah, and I thought they were already too expensive back in the 80s before EBay [:D]. I did pick up some live vinyls for a reasonable price (used) but I traded it to this German chick I met online for some German Kraftwerk CDs.

I have a bootleg from Depeche Mode that has a pretty good Old School Mix. It`s on a cd called X-files.

Does anyone know how good the sound quality of the Technopolis comp.cds? They appear to have some great mixes of Depeche Mode , Yazoo, Front 242 & Nitzer Ebb (etc). Any info would help. Thanks

If you are releasing a RETRO:ACTIVE - RARE & REMIXED: VOLUMES 5 -- please consider Tears For Fears - Suffer The Children (Remix) -- it has NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON CD. I prefer the remix so much more than the version on The Hurting.

How about the Might Lemon Drops' Inside Out? I know there's an extended version and they're on WEA.
