I still see copies of the first 2 Belin albums on vinyl every so often. Should I start picking them up?

I like also Robert Johnson's specific lp,bpdp3.Kind of roots rock played with new wave energy.Seen it very often in 1euro bins and its a pity no one gives it a try.

A friend upgraded his copy of Pink Military, he donated the older one to my collection. What a great record!

Found the 12" of "Man From China" by Vivabeat, and while it's not vinyl I finally found a copy of Shox Lumania Live @ the Peppermint Lounge.

Some stuff i found the last days-
Ruts DC-Animal now
Dirty Angels-Same(60s influenced power pop-punk band, produced by Richard Gotterher)
Mud-Mud rock(one of the finest glam rock bands, with some strong guitars and terrific singles.Their first album)
Sparks-No 1in Heaven(english first edition copy,had the american one)
Cheryl Dilcher-Blue Sailor(Anyone remembers this totally ignored female voice of mid seventees? Wonderfull mellow pop rock-not soft rock-with energetic playing and glam influences.)
Berlin Airlift-same(great theatric new wave pop with Rick Berlin,ex member of Orchestra Luna and one of the main artists of Boston.Where is he today, really?)
James Montgomery-Duck Fever(pub rock )
M-Official Secrets Act.

I finally found a copy of Wire's "Chairs Missing" ths week - I've looked for that for a long time, never seemed to show up.

Other than that there hasn't been a lot of new wave to find lately. I did come across a nice selection of 50's to 60's jazz and have been picking up releases by Monk, Coltrane, Mingus, Dolphy and the like...

I just noticed that two used bookstores opened up (or in one store's case - re-opened) here in Syr that claim to sell used records. I'll be hunting them down this week & I can't wait!

I'll also be in Albany next month - bpdp - have you ever been to Last Vestige? It's near my hotel & I've done mail order from them before - worth a stop?

Wolverine - definitely stop by Last Vestige if you get the chance - it's the one I'd recommend to anyone coming out this way. It's in an unlikely spot (middle of a bunch of really rundown student housing) and has a small store-front but don't be fooled; there's always good stuff turning up in there (I try to go at least once/month). They have turntables for listening with headphones. Check out their punk-section, their 12" singles (80's rock/new wave is downstairs) and lots of stuff strewn in with the standard 'rock' section. They have a website but it's rarely up to date.

The only place I know for used vinyl in Syracuse anymore is 'Books and Memories' on James, which is pretty malnourished. Let me know if you have any luck. I used to live near Court/Salina intersection and knew every crummy used record and bookstore in the city. Every time I go back, another shop is gone. Those flea markets on Sundays are always fun, though.

Robert Gordon's Bad Boy was on my turntable alot as a teen, firefall. Love the cover photo, always wished I could look that cool. "Nervous", "Born to Lose" and the title track were favorties. I've ended up picking up most of his other lps since, all used.

I found a picture sleeve 45 ep of Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds doing Everly Brothers tunes yesterday. I think that it may have originally been included in copies of Rockpile's "Seconds of Pleasure" lp, but mine never had it (and I bought it new when it came out).
