Kissing The Pink

I heard a while back that their classic 1983 album NAKED was going to finally be reissued on CD. Any updates on this?

A great album, but still on the "coming soon" list over at Wounded Bird Records. It's been in that state for a while. I don't expect anything to come at this point. Just my opinion.

I don't have an exact release date but it is coming soon; should be out before summer arrives...

This is the best you can do until the re-issue comes out

I e-mailed this guy once ages ago about this and never heard back from him, despite repeated follow-ups. Anyone else have better luck?

[/quote]Glad to hear that, Surly. Out of curiosity, do you have a connection to WBR? How are you sure that it will actually be released. Many times an album is marked for reissue and never gets that far. I'm hopeful that this album as well as EBN-OZN's "Feeling Cavalier" make the cut.

I was just looking to get everything! [:D] I heard a few songs of theirs at the time and liked them at once.

When I get around to registering at the hub (and at Soulseek) I'll pick up the stuff.

Funny you guys should mention this cause I just got an email from him...it took a few weeks and I almost forgot about it but then it showed up. There's a ton of stuff on his page...all 3 albums plus remixes and demo's and video's. I'm on my third day of downloads. a lot of the stuff needs cleaned (pops and ticks) and the demos are pretty raw but it's all good.

Not to rain on the KTP parade, but if you are expecting anything like the Kissing The Pink or KTP as you remember them, this disc will probably disappoint. I bought it a few years ago, knowing not to expect the old sound, and it really does not compare favorably at all with their classic material of Naked, What Noise and Certain Things Are Likely. I am still glad to have it, there are a slim few tracks of interest to me, but IMO, all in all, it is not worth more than a few bucks if you choose to pursue it. Just my opinion.

Naked shows up on Ebay sometimes, but be prepared to spend. I bought it 5 years ago, and am glad I did it.
