I do understand what you're saying... if I didn't have the i-pod when I had to be in complete bed rest for 10 days, I would have been a 100 times more bored. But even that way I was soo bored by day 3 of rest.

I did get to listen to Internet radio;however, being in control of the tunes is much better... I could only watch so much T.V.!
