And the Floriday band Damage had 3 LPs and at least 1 single. Hardcore punk done on synthesizers. My favorite song is "Radio Shack, You Suck".

"Jubilee O' Kindness" was one of them. I'll have to look at the other one when I get home. I've burned them to CD, I can send you copies if you would like.

Some vinyl and cd scores the last four days-
Urban Verbs-early damage(funky oriented second album, from this Talking Heads related, art pop band).

Hollywood Brats-same(New York Dolls style drug queens from England, with a street attitude that influenced punk rock. The music is simply Stonesy rhythm n' blues-glam.Reissue in cd).

Db's-repercussion(early alternative rock masterpiece from 1982).
Mick Ronson-Slaughter on the 10th avenue(his first solo album with a strong influence from Ziggy's space dreams)
Stiffs-stiffology 1981-1988(great punk rock rarity with a power pop/oi/new wave following,cd)
Cherry Vanilla-first album.

The Joy Division Preston Concert picture disc!!!!! Stopped into Amoeba on Sunset today and very happily payed $17 for this picture disk with Ian Curtis' image on the back. I'm a very happy boy. Also picked up some cool CDs:

- the exact 3 import British Sea Power singles I was looking for: Please Stand Up CDS 1 & 2 plus It Ended On an Oily Stage CDS
- New Order Regret Maxi Single
- New Order Waiting for the Siren's Call (only had a promo pre-release before)
- The Cars Deluxe Edition - this is awesome and essential!

Just yesterday at Amoeba Records in SF I found a bunch of decent stuff in the $1.00 bargain bins - the second Icehouse LP, some Anything Box and Real Life 12"s, and an really cool record featuring speeches and radio addresses on Dec 7, 1941 about the Pearl Harbor attacks (also including replica NY Times front pages from Dec 5, 6, 7, and 8). History rules!

The non-bargain finds included:

B 9 Compilation LP (1981 Sandwich Records minimal synth LP featuring Polyphonic Size, Pseudo Code, Digital Dance, and more)

Giorbino-Eldorado - Ivanhoe! EP (instrumental dancey post-punk)

Minny Pops - Drastic Measures Drastic Movements LP (1979 synth)

Servants - The Sun, a Small Star (awesome indie rock EP from one of the bands on the original C86 tape)

Blue Angel-same(the almost known retro-new wave combo of Cindy Lauper, here also Johnny Morelli from great punks Tuff Darts!).

Jules and the Polar Bears-got no breeding(first album from this underrated bar rock band that jumbed into the new wave train. Some complex harmonies give the artistic credit, very good music).

Michael Fennelly-lane changer(once member of 70s power poppers Crabby Appleton, this talented musician gets into glam rock and acoustic songs.Strong influence srom Sparks in his falsetto, and a feeling of proto- new wave songs.

Mabel-message from my heart(glammy power pop from Denmark,1978).

Haven't had much cash to drop on records lately, but last night I found 2 LPs and a 12" by the NDW band Rheingold, and an LP by a Swedish band called Branda Barn.

Shoes-un dans Versailles(their first very rare album with an all white album cover with no information.Lo-fi power pop, a bit harder than their next releases)

Darts(rock n roll revival band,with a power pop edge.Great fun and energy)

Soul Asylum-While you were out

Sniff n' the tears-fickle your heart(very good band, not only for''driver's seat'',but also for some'' killer'' personal songs)
