I'm ripping a bunch of 12" singles to cd this afternoon. Just listened to an extended version of Mother's Talk from Tears for Fears.

I guess I don't have patience for all the cuts & edits like I used to. I used to think these were so exciting. I'm liking the shorter versions of some of these songs better these days. I'm finding that I'm really not into anything remixed by Arthur Baker. I think he's pretty good, it's just everything starts to sound alike with the same tricks over & over.

A good find was Shame from the Motels - none of the cut back crapola & effects, a remix that expanded on the original & added some good stuff.

Off to check out Humpe-Humpe's The Three of Us
