RYM Box Sets for New Wave and Related Genres

Postby FreeWave » Wed Jan 16, 2019 6:03 pm

Hey so I was a longtime poster here a full decade+ ago but I'm back and with a few links to the project I've been running over that 9.9 years (10 year anniversary in February).

The RYM Box Set Project is a group project by users to highlight not only the essential artists for every genre, but albums, and even suggested tracks. It's as easy a way to explore a genre as it gets and is a chronological mixtape with a purpose. It was created on 2009 and is still being very actively worked and expanded by a multitude of people. It has over 700 genre sets with nearly 1,000 discs worth of music. Many of these are streamable on YouTube and Spotify.

The Original Project page is here.
The New Blog Portal is here.
And here's a batch of news on it here.

Ok now that that's out of the way let's get to the Box sets for just New Wave and Related Genres. New Wave was constricted to just 3 discs of tracks but as you know there's tons of related ones at the bottom of that list. We have Canadian, German Japanese, Italian, and Australian sets. I saw a few good threads for French and Dutch New Wave so I may make those at some point too!

Cheers and let me know what you think.
