The Outfield, 38 Special, Journey- they're kind if like mopeds. Fun toys to break out once in a while but you don't want your friends to know you actually own them.

Funny line....I got a good laugh.

Well I don't see any mention of it so I guess I have to. A song so horrific that no one dares speak it's name...Ladies and Gentlemen....

Escape (The Pina Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes

Feel free to scream now.

Ach! And I'd add frigging Christopher Cross (he of "Sailing" and "you can get lost between the moon and New York City" fame.

I THINK that was about 1980...maybe late 70s. Certainly on that cusp..

Eeek.

Circus of The Stars, good one what a lame moron show.Cristopher Cross,Phil Collins also good choices.Let me add that valley girl shit talk that even crept its way up to the frozen north and a very bad 80,s music show Solid Gold.

You can have your hellish dream played over and over again with Rupert Holmes AND Christoper Cross on Solid Gold.

The Cabbage Patch Dolls were just disgusting. I wonder if anyone made one in the likeness of Kathy Lee Gifford...nightmares ensue.

Wow,some of this stuff is truly bad and to think we all went through it.To add a bit of Canadian content there was a show called Stars on ice with jeopardy man Alex Trebeck(I never watched it,so it could be 70,s),a horrible pair of mid 80,s shows one called Check it out with the late Don Adams and one called Snow Job.I hope you U.S folks didn,t have to suffer that low, low, low budget Canadian shit.

Alright, being something of a gearhead.

8 cylinder engines that made less HP than my current 4 banger.
Just about anything Detrot spit out, automotive wise.
Parachute Pants.
ANYTHING dayglow.
Anything in contrasting dayglow. (Limegreen and hot pink anyone?)
Jelly shoes. (Christ, those things are still around)
TJ Hooker.
MR T
Sylvester Stallone (He still wont give it up)

Ah Dukman, good to see some mechanical input here.Having worked in the auto industry for almost thirty years I can say most cars 1980-87 were inferior to 90,s models.Oh,and welcome aboard.

Worst thing about the 80's was, drum role please...sorry cant pick just one but will include the megaindustry that was,and is, Duran Duran.
They are unexplainable.

Wow, "Check It Out"! That was the one where Don Adams played a grocery store manager, right? We got it here too, along with lots of other syndicated weekend afternoon shows like "It's A Living", "What A Country" (Yakov f'n Smirnov!), "Small Wonder" & other crap. That was before Fox & the WB became full time networks.

As far as 80's tv shows go, The Munsters Today was the worst updated show. Completely unwatchable. Now that the gears are rolling, there was a s--tload of godawful 80's shows. It's a good thing that memories fade over time, I guess.

Yeah, that was very bad. Ever see the new Addams Family that they attempted a few years ago? Equally wretched.
