Help me convert some old WLIR concert tapes to MP3

While doing a little house-cleaning the other day, I came across two cassettes that contain some live concerts I recorded off of WLIR (I think) in the late 80s. I'm guessing 1988, could be a year later or earlier.

The bands are:
- The Smiths
- Erasure
- New Order
- R.E.M.

Each concert was one side of a 90-minute cassette, encoded with Dolby B noise reduction (remember that? yikes, I'm old). One of the tapes is an old Fuji Metal, the other a "Triad EM-X" whatever the heck that was. High bias all the way, baby.

(Oh, the memories! Make them stop!)

Sadly, without a tape deck anymore (not even in the car), I have no idea whether these tapes still sound good, or if the concerts are even worth keeping or having on MP3.

I'd be happy to send these to a fellow NWO-er if the recipient promises to let me (and the rest of the NWO gang) know if the tapes can be salvaged, and if so, possibly convert them to MP3 for sharing.
