These concerts will mark only the second time a-ha has played in the U.S. since 1986...

While watching this vid I just realized how much Keane sounds like a-ha!

2 hours of trying to get pre-sale tickets and came up empty. [:(!]

Totally agree, Keane is the new A-ha. Wish they would release "You Don't See Me" as a cd single with extended and alternate versions.

Sean - tickets for the L.A. show are going on sale tomorrow (2/5) at TicketBonejobMaster. I guess I got lucky - it took approximately 200 tries but I was able to procure 2 tickets at the a-ha.com presale. I see this show as a warm-up (literally) to the three Oslo shows I'm seeing this December (their last three ever). Yeah, I kinda like these guys [8D]

Keane can't be a-ha until they get a bassist and a guitarist (not that they really need them). I love Keane but was a little put out when I heard they used "canned" bass at their concerts. I expect canned music from the Pet Shop Boys but not Keane!

Got tickets to that one too! Got the e-mail about it from a-ha.com while I was out - it said "tickets are on sale NOW". Broke land speed records to get home. At least this time it only took 60 tries or so ...

Went to the A-ha show last night at the LA Nokia Theatre. The guys looks great and the show was nothing short of amazing. To my delight, they pretty much played all of the great songs from "Scoundrel Days". To those who are going, you are in for a big treat. If they would have done "Living A Boy's Adventure Tale", "Velvet", and "Lifelines", that would have made the show perfect. Still awesome nevertheless. A-ha and our other 80's bands would put all of the bands of today to shame.

Went to both L.A. shows. Absolutely fantastic, if I had any complaint it would be that the setlists from both nights were identical. They played at least one song from every album and the crowd both nights seemed really into it - even those who were just waiting through those other 19 songs so they could hear Take On Me.

Sunday night's show was their official goodbye to North America. Can't wait for the three final Oslo shows in December. I'm hoping they empty the chamber on the last night and play for four hours. Three, anyway.

Just to prove there's no justice in the world: on Saturday night, Justin Bieber was playing across the street at the Staples Center and probably sold the place out. a-ha probably played to, what does Club Nokia hold, 1500 tops? That's just criminal.

I'd post a great pic of the boys waving goodbye but I can't figure out how to post pictures or videos like everyone else can. Am I not special enough??

Also, would really like to smack the guy two rows in front of me who thought it would be a great idea to hold his daughter on his shoulders during the show. Who cares about everyone standing behind me? My two-year-old daughter has been waiting her ENTIRE LIFE to see these guys!!!
