I saw Ladytron for the first time last night at the new House of Blues in Boston. It was an excellent show except for the blinding background lighting they use from time to time. They're touring with The Faint. Has anyone else seen them this go round?

I'm seeing them Monday in LA at The Music Box at the Fonda- should be cool!

I'm seeing them in Vancouver in early May. I think I've seen them three times in the past.

The Faint set the bar high last night. Their energetic playing and spot on light show had the crowd at The Fonda rocking.

I thought Ladytron's sound mix emphasized the kick drum too much and not enough on the vocals- they kind of got buried which is a shame. "Tomorrow" actually sounded better coming out of the little outside rooftop speakers than those next to the stage.

The ultra bright led panels behind the band seemed almost constantly in strobe mode. Enough to send an army of epileptics into a mass seizure. My retinas are still recovering.

I've noticed that with bands a lot, in recent years. I chalk it up to shitty sound mixers.

I was thinking the same thing! If these sound mixers have been around concerts for a significant amount of time, their ears are subject to serious damage. Then they can only tweak the sound to the diminished quality of their hearing.

The hole in my theory is that you'd think they'd turn the highs up as I believe those are the first things to go.

Saw them tonight. The sound was above their norm (for the Commodore Ballroom). There were still times when the vocals disappeared, though.

Ladytron played for about the same amount of time as the Faint, if not shorter.

Overall, I enjoyed this show more than the previous show, which was when their current album was released. The new light-screen they have is cool too, although when they shine the bright square in white (as opposed to red), it blinds you.

Saw them also in Boston. The synths sound great,yes vocals were a little low at times. Have one Faint cd they try to hard to sound retro.
