Made it to the gig
got there at 8Pm after flying in from NYC and driving to Hamilton from Pearson.
Just in time to get my hand inked and to settle in for almost a 4 hour wait (endured a dj playing the worst crap of the 80s, though she certainly seemed like a good person). The bar was packed by showtime; I was able to get up to about 2 rows of people from the stage. Great sound and view!
Blue Peter opens with "Falling", then "Video Verite" and "Chinese Graffiti". 8 or 9 songs more (which included "Radio Silence") the finale of "Don't Walk Past".
Just a great performance!!
Paul Humphrey (lead singer) was in top form, doing his modern dance moves; lead guitarist Chris had his axe ringing; bass, synth and drums completed the perfection.
Encore consisted of the ENTIRELY appropriate "Both Ends Burning" by Roxy Music, and "Sweet Jane".
Somehow I missed Mr and Ms Tenpole, but will correct that screwup next time.
If you're not familiar with Blue Peter you're missing some great music!

One of my friends went and hated the dj as well, he will try to get her to come to his store when it opens to get better records.
