My knee-jerk would have been not to bother, but quite a few UK acquaintances listed their 2009 shows as amongst their top 5 of the year. But god I hate freakin hate Terminal 5. No subway, no food, no parking, no sitting, no sitelines. Other than that, there have been some good gigs there. [:o)]

I've never been to this place, but based on your description, I hate it already. No subway - so that means you need to drive into that shithole? Any other mass transit?

There are subway stations on 8th Avenue- you'd have to walk maybe 10-12 minutes.

Probably buses on 9th or 10th Avenues (but I don't take the buses in Manhattan-too slow)

Probably a cabalistic plot in cahoots with the taxi drivers

Hopefully there will be a 12th Avenue subway line by concert time[;)]

It's not that bad, that's where we saw Yazoo...did something change with the subway since then?

I may be up for this show...is it 100% confirmed that Terry Hall is touring with them?
Maybe we could meet at that same bar for eats before hand.

Blir - keep your eye on FTC, they are starting to book for the summer. Got tickets to The Beat show in May. Popped them an email with some ideas of who is touring that would fit the venue and The Specials were on my list.

Founding member and keyboardist, Jerry Dammers won't be in the line-up, but since Terry Hall and the rest of the gang are there, it's still considered to be a good show.

Tix were supposed to go on sale today, but they're nowhere to be found. On Ticketmaster: "Sorry, but this event no longer exists in our database."

Anyone hear anything about the reunion (or show) being canceled?
