I've seen squeeze a few times. Always good. Cheap Trick is still on my list of bands to see. I was too young to see them back in the early days. Big fan of their first 3 LPs.

Squeeze reworked a bunch of their classics at this show. It was a bit off putting at first , but once I decided to go with it I enjoyed the set. A of couple surprises, "It's So Dirty", "Someone Elses Heart' and "If it's Love".

I was pleased Cheap Trick stayed away from doing a greatest hits show . They played a whole bunch of new songs plus great versions of "Ballad of T.V violence", "Need Your Love" and "Heaven Tonight". Both Robin Zander and Glenn Tillbrook can still bring it vocally.

Thanks for the photos. I'm a bit surprised that Cheap Trick was opening for Squeeze, as I would think Cheap Trick have a slightly larger following?

Regardless, I've seen both acts in recent years and absolutely agree that both Robin and Glenn still bring it live.

They're both playing 75 minute sets and flip flopping the opening slot. How they decide which night who opens I don't know.
