Soulseek

Quick question--I hadn't visited Soulseek in ages but for the hell of it, I logged on today. I remember in the past-search for something--a lot would usually come up. Today--a barren wasteland? Nobody use anymore? I even punched in VERY mainstream artists and still next to nothing came up. Is Soulseek kaput? Or near kaput?

I think they are running two separate systems concurrently. If you load up version 1.57 you'll be routed to the new bank of servers...1.56 will take you to the old system. I haven't used it in quite a while either, so I might be wrong.

Hmm, there have been times where I've noticed less activity, but I still always find stuff, and sometimes I notice that there's more activity and more users than ever.

dude, the rest of the people looking for the new Fall Out Boy have moved to torrents. If there is a plethora of rare 80's on torrents, let me know where!

I think the volume of traffic is about the same, it's just divided among the two systems. I don't think you can run the old and new versions on the same computer (adding 157 overwrites 156 from my experience).

The New Wave room almost always has at least 10 users there, as for New Wave Outpost there is usually just Iolar, flowerjewell77 and Bairead. I believe my soulseek version is 157 NS 13c, whatever that means. You may either have to update or perhaps you're running a new version?
