As someone pointed out, MJ has been gone a long time already, having distanced himself through consistently bizarre behavior since his heyday.

I'd prefer to remember him back when he showed so much promise and his lifestyle didn't overshadow his music.

Off the Wall and Thriller. Those truly are a pair of classic albums. It's very sad he died. With that said he should have just stuck to music and not do the stupid things he did later on. To be honest the real Michael Jackson died years go and was replaced by some freaky-ass white alien dude who writes songs about whales and healing the world. What the hell happened? Did all that plastic surgery mess up his head. Didn't he ever look at the man in the mirror? However it's impossible to overlook the impact he had on music back in the 80's and especially the 70's with his brothers in the Jackson 5 (is it 4 now?) And I'll always have fond memories of watching the videos for Billie Jean, Thriller, and Beat it on the MTV.
