2011 off to a good start with Canada beating the USA for a place in the final. Sorry, no repeat championship for the Americans.

Was that game really played in Buffalo? I've never seen so much red and white...and the only blue was on the faces of Team USA.

In related news, my local little league team, the Unicorns, beat their rivals, the Leprechauns, 3-2 in a crosstown match up. Now back to the NFL and other real sports...

Ha Ha! I've now won my offline wager that you two couldn't resist responding to this post, and in a predictable manner.

Oh, and American football I don't get. Two hours of viewing to see two minutes of "action". Yawn. It is a living hell listening to my boss droning on endlessly about his fucking Oregon Ducks. [xx(]

It's simple really. When the ball crosses the goal line that is known as "SCORING", a concept that, as a hockey fan, is probably foreign to you. And the fact that in football, you actually SEE it happen and don't need some gay red light flashing to let you know about the rare occurrence, is probably confusing.

As far as inventing a way to play soccer on frozen lakes, well... you got us on that one! Your ice fishing countrymen had to have been bored out of their skulls to come up with that.

We'll stick with our nuclear warheads, hot American babes, electing inept world leaders and the pigskin. Just keep sending Molsen and we'll get along just fine. [:)]

I'll be cheering for the USA today in the bronze medal game. No shame in being the third best hockey nation in the world. And I agree you've got hot American babes, New York, Las Vegas, Maui, the Grand Canyon, the Smithsonian, Shiner Bock beer, Memphis bbq, Virginian peanuts, Napa Valley wines (and Oregonian pinot noirs), wind farms, the Cars, awesome wooden rollercoasters, a space program and a nation of true grit and determination.

We've got hockey, Whistler, snowmobiles, Keith's beer, Peggy's Cove, Crown Royal and did I mention hockey? Oh yeah, and Sidney Crosby...or does he count as hockey? I guess the Vancouver Canucks definitely count as hockey...though not sure about the Leafs.

In all seriousness, do you have college football? I'm assuming if you do all the teams are nicknamed the Rough Riders and if they do, do they play American rules or CFL rules?

Dear God! We blew a 3-0 lead! If I had Frau's, djcraig's and motors' cocks in my mouth at the same time I couldn't have choked worse than that! WTF!!!

And yeah, we have college football.

There's virtually no interest in college football here, except in Quebec.

BTW, it is Saskatchewan Roughriders and Ottawa Rough Riders, so they're not the same [:D].

"Keith's" beer? Sounds like something I'd like to try. Wonder if that's available in the states...
