maybe I'm the only one who sees a problem with that...
sexual harassment is bad, but taking matters into your own hands and using violence to solve it is even worse....we live in a civilized society, where severity of punishment needs to match that of crime, and I don't think beating the living crap out of someone for some sexual remarks is right...

I agree. A little sensitivity training is all that's required here. No sense in meting out any kind of physical punishment which could be injurious to the young scamp...after all, boys will be boys.

I agree with InvisibleMan. If you ever run into this situation, do what you want. Unless you have impeccably good justification (i.e., self-defense, serious threat), physically assaulting someone is always a bad idea. Sure, do what you want-- I know the idea of smashing or disfiguring some scumbag sounds really satisfying-- but taking matters in your own hands may legally undermine your case or possibly backfire (get you arrested or killed).

I wasn't at all worried about getting killed ... arrested maybe, but with the number of friends I have in the local p.d., I didn't really see that happening either. Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do to protect the people he cares about. I know that makes me kind of a throwback but whatever ... I'm proud of it. [:D]
