Those are BEAUTIFUL manekineko!

What a great combination of traditional floral and geometric patterns and the COLORS! Magnifique!

Those bamboo handles with the brass C hitch fasteners give it a very attractive asian & western style pairing.

And freestanding ta boot!

WOW!

You should have an e-bay store, I'm sure you would do quite well for yourself![;)]

Thanks, Wolvy. I tried selling the silk ones (pictured earlier in this thread) two years ago, to a very upscale boutique in Newport, RI. The owner loved them and placed an order for four purses (to be sold for $100/retail apiece), but when I sent them to her, she backed out of the order! It really pissed me off and put me off the selling idea for a while. I may give some more thought to marketing them again. I have so many ideas for new bags to make, and I have an unbelievable collection of fabrics (velvets, leathers, silks, cottons, linens). My next creation will use velvets and maybe tweed for fall.

I think 2Nu's on to something Manekineko. Ebay might be a great way to sell them. You could set up your own store, set your price & go from there.

Here's an example of the furniture and jewelry boxes I decorate. They're generrally found pieces that I restore, paint, decoupage, etc. I also do handbags made of cigar boxes and other home furnishings. Sorry, I only have b&w shots right now. When I get a digital camera, I'll put up alot more stuff.....

And lately, I've undertaken the lengthy task of converting all my old home movies to DVD along with music, graphics, etc.....I swear, I must have attention deficit order. I have WAY too many hobbies, lol!

Marv that desk looks awesome! I love it. You should sell stuff too! That would do well in Manhattan.

Seriously, all jokes aside (for the moment) Marvy marv and Manekineko you should start you own little NWO EBay shop. These are GREAT! You two are very talented.

Hey thanx guys for the compiments [:I]

I'd like to try selling some pieces at a show or something down the road. In the meantime, I've been doing it by word of mouth. I sold a chest of drawers this summer for $1,000!

Blir was helping me to buy a very good digitial camera when my computer died and I was forced to put the money in to a new computer. *sigh* I know, I know, I'll get the digital camera soon enough.....then I'll join the rest of you in the 21st century [:p]

Marv, those look great! I'd love to see them in color so I can make out what some of those images are. What a unique idea. That's amazing that you sold a chest for such an amount. [:)]
