Red Sox Nation for life, grew up partly near Boston, Fenway, seeing Yaz (for any non-Red Sox fan, that's not the music group). They could finish a season at 0-162 and never lose me as a fan. Red Sox fans are for life.

Thats true...St. Louis took care of that but that was a year be for I came into existence....

I was right about Smarty Jones and bet Half the field against him and won.

Yep, Yaz was the man in 1967. Also had a great World Series even though the Sox lost in 7 to Bob Gibson and the St. Louis Cardinals with the great Lou Brock. Still, you can;t take away from one of the great players who loved the games, loved his team, and never tried to leave Beantown for greener pastures. Not to mention his gold gloves for all the years he tackled the green monster in left field. I will never forget him rubbing my head at the age of 9 when my little league team was at Fenway and he was signing autographs and talking to us. He loved the kids and the fans, and was a true ambassador for the game that today is so tarnished with overpaid whiners and pumped up steroid humanoids. Ahhh.....when it was a game and the players understood the fans were important, and the players respected the game and those that came before them. Now, I couldn;t care less if baseball ended existence. I am still a fan of the history of the Boston Red Sox, but no longer of any players.
