DAMN wolverine, I wish you lived next door to me. I love all those movies! Did you ever see blair witch 2? I found it very scary but very different from the first. Watch it like you never saw the first. I liked it. Its another movie that shocks you in the end.

I haven't seen it philly - but I'll take your recommendation!

Dear God - Basket Case - what a strange movie!
"What's in the Basket?"
"My Brother..."
I liked it - but don't think I ever need to see it again!

I'm such a wuss. I saw "The Exorcist" when I was seven and it ruined me. I don't like scary movies a bit, and I think it's because that movie scared the beejeebers out of me.

That last scary (?) movie I saw was "The Ring." My husband insists it wasn't scary, but I had nightmares for several nights, with my kids guest starring as the girl from the well.

I'll read scary books, however. They don't bother me.

I remember SSSSSS!!! Wasn't Don Johnson in it? Strother Martin (remember him from many bad 70's horror movies????) turned him into a giant snake.

I sort of remember the Legacy...can't recall much about it though!

Was Burnt Offerings the one where the obnoxious kid gets crushed by a falling chimmney? That was satisfying. I've always wanted to see the Changeling too.

Come on over - but I warn you - I am not a sushi man - can we eat a lot of M&Ms and junk food????

Edwige Fenech... I can never get tired of seeing her get chased around by some psychotic killer all over Roma[8D] One of the most gorgeous women that ever existed; she had this strange feline look to her.

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Nuwavghost/fenech.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

Some exemplary suspenseful films with her in them:

Lo Strano Vizio Della Signora Wardh

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Nuwavghost/img_177845_lrg.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

It had a really good score too; very creepy and hard to get out of your mind.

Tutti I Colori Del Buio

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Nuwavghost/tutticoloridelbuio.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

Near the end, it had people going, "Wtf? Is she dreaming or is it real? I don't get it!" In the interview, Sergio Martino said that because of that, the movie had to be cut at the end 'cause the plot twist was too much for audiences at that time. The newly-released dvd is intact.

I don't know about that - I just watched a lot of horror movies as a kid & have great recall when it comes to them. I wish I could apply that to the rest of my life!

Can't say that I have. I looked it up and it's one of a long line of classic Hammer horror films. That's the stuff my parents grew up watching... like Barnabas Collins/Dark Shadows; Gothic horror stuff which Dario Argento updated in Suspiria and Herzog remade in Nosferatu (quite possibly one of the best re-makes I have ever seen[8D] ). Barbara Steele is in the movie you mentioned. I'll give that one a spin. I'm sure Netflix has it.

As for Edwige Fenech, she starred in a long line of Eurotrash, Eurosleaze, and Gialli films. Don't let the names of the sub-genres fool ye, they are some of the best b-movies ever made. If you want an American counterpart to those European films, it would be in the form of Brian DePalma's late 70s and early 80s horror and slasherfests (The Fury, Carrie, Blow Out, Dressed To Kill, and topping it all off with the mother of all DePalma trash, Body Double... check for the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song in the New Wave Hookers set[8D] ). These are the movies which drew so much negative reaction from womyn's groups that he had to abandon making them altogether[}:)]

Never heard of it. Is it new or old? I can't even find it listed at imdb. The title reminds me of this mid-80s British film called The Housekeeper. It looks like it was shot in a Lifetime Original Movie style, except it was about a psychotic maid this wealthy American family hires. Most memorable scene is when she goes ballistic and starts following around the kids with a shotgun... the boy had one of those old-skool key chains that would beep when you whistled at it... and when she was looking for the guy, all she did was whistle[:0] I have a copy of that tape and watch it every so often just to reminisce about the look those two kids had - very mid-80s. Cheezy movie, though; not scary at all.

Edwige Fenech... that is like saying "Shannon Tweed" or "Joan Severance"[:D]
