Shocked there hasn't been more talk about it![;)]

I'm psyched, I think the U.S. will go the furthest they have ever advanced(I have a bet on the England game with some corporate honchos since my company is based out of the U.K.) and we have parties planned for several games.

It's wide-open this year so look for plenty of upsets. Spain, England, Argentina and Germany all have solid shots but I'm thinking Brazil for some reason.

Before the friendlies started I though we would have a good chance of reaching the semis but the spate of injuries and poor perfomances in the friendlies mean that we would be doing well to reach the quarters.

The problem with the US team is that they're completely bipolar; will it the one from 1994-2002 or the one fromn 1998-2006? Either way it should be interesting finding out.

The Netherlands will play brilliant football before stumbling in the semis. Italy are still recovering from the betting scandal, France hate their manager and the team is getting old. Japan: see France. Spain are good but do they have strength in depth? With Maradona in charge of Argentina all bets are off.

I'm rooting for the Springboks and Matt Damon to repeat.

WTF is with the non stop horn blowing? The only conclusion I can come to is that it keeps one from falling asleep during the match.

I can't wait to read some British news today. Green let in the weakest goal I've ever seen! WTF! And not to take away from a solid performance by Howard in goal for USA but every shot directed at the goal was right at him, like England thought he was the target. Heskey? What was he doing? Why is he there? Wow. A shockingly disappointing opener for the poms.

I'm the meantime, the action on the field in the Korea game meant a little action off the field in the zill household. Go Korea!

I mean, who knew that Rober Green had Parkinson's? It was certainly news to me..

The US did do a good job in keeping Rooney quiet and as for Heskey he can't even make the starting line up for his club so what Capello sees in flip only knows.

S.Korea deserved their win against a defensive Greek side who showed nothing throught the game.
