Schwenko, thanks for sharing this article, which I found very interesting. I'm still digesting it but I have to agree that lately I'm not searching for rare songs, I'm searching for demos or rehearsal tapes or live performances and video. Maybe he's right that rarities just don't exist anymore. Hell, even the one or two 45's that all my beloved Vancouver punk and new wave bands released in extremely limited quantities 30 years ago are popping up all over the internet. I think its a good thing...except sometimes I'm overwhelmed by the amount of music available and just don't have time to listen to.
