Okay, I downloaded a few songs off iTunes and I'm finding Geraldine to be very listenable and catchy. Love the thick Scottish accents. Definitely a period piece, but diggable for now.

TiVo-ed The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson nd just watched their performance of Geraldine! Wow, like The Clash, meets Jesus & The Mary Chain, meets The Cocteau Twins sort-of!!!

Blew me away, and they are William Shatner's new fave group, as he introduced them on the show...[:D]

Yeah, came out in the UK in September I think. I concur that there is a certain "sameness" (i.e., key, chord changes) to the songs but I really love 'em.

Holy crap... I'm watching tonight's episode of Chuck with Scott Bacula as Chuck's supposed father. Chevy Chase as the arch enemy comes upon the scene, and the dad gives himself up if they'll let Chuck live. Right then, Glasvegas' "Daddy's Gone" fires up as the soundtrack. Nicely done! [8D]

Now we'll need a Strangest Place You've Heard Next Wave thread.
