Savages full Ministry of Sound gig...

Postby Frau_Blucher » Mon May 13, 2013 1:31 am

I saw this from a couple of folks in behind Jenny Beth's right shoulder. Wicked gig. Theater-in-round format a bit reminiscent of Portishead's somewhat famous Roseland gig, though sightlines suckes. Sound was immense though YT doesn't do it justice. They've evolved in every gig I've seen them. A bit less of early Siouxsie and Wire now maybe and big doses of Andy Gil-like chopping Gang of Four guitar courtesy of Gemma Thompson. Every member shreds.

Haven't been lucky enough to see them live but did pick up the debut this weekend. On VINYL! Seems like it's getting gushing reviews wherever you look so I won't go on about it; just try to hear it if you can.

You keep using that word "Savages". I do not think it means what you think it means.
