"The Cutter"--Echo and the Bunnymen

And promised to each other
That we'd always think the same
And dreamed that dream
To be two souls as one

Oingo Boingo -'Just Another Day' (had to cheat on this one--- Oingo Boingo stopped being my cup of tea after "Nothing To Fear")

"I could feel at the time
There was no way of knowing
Fallen leaves in the night
Who can say where they're blowing
As free as the the wind
And hopefully learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning"

"More Than This"--10,000 Maniacs (w/o Natalie Merchant) and was also performed by this other band from the 80s called Rocky Music or something like that . . . [;)]

I see the stars come out of the sky
Yeah, they're bright in a hollow sky
You know it looks so good tonight

Wordy Rappinghood -Tom Tom Club

Hardly dashing through the snow
Cause I bundled up too tight
Last minute have-to-do's
A few cards a few calls
'Cause it's r-s-v-p
No thanks, no party lights
It's Christmas Eve, gonna relax
Turned down all of my invites.

"The Homecoming Queens Got A Gun" -Julie Brown

"It was christmas eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, wont see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you"
