Your Non-Existent Band

Postby DonGately » Wed Mar 21, 2007 12:26 pm

Let's see if this one generates any interest.

One of my favorites books is "King Dork" by Frank Portman. One of the running gags in the book is that two main characters continually change the name, logos, etc for their (nonexistent) band and its eventual album titles, etc. For example:

Band name: The Plasma Nukes
Logo: ICBM with a broken half heart with blood dripping on the side
First Album Title: Feelin' Free with the Plasma Nukes
Personnel: Guitar: Lithium Dan; Vox: The Worm; Bass and Caligraphy: Little Pink Sambo; Machine Gun Drums: TBA

which later becomes:

Band name: The Medieval Ages
First Album Title: That Stupid Pope
Personnel: Vocals: King Dork; Bass and Bodywork: Samber Waves of Grain

And still later becomes:

Band name: Balls Deep
First Album Title: We Control the Horizontal
Personnel: Guitar: Comrade Galhammer; Bass and Embroidery: Our Dear Leader; Drums: The Lonely Dissident on Real Fancy and Important Percussion

So, the game is simple: post your very own non-existent band name and info
