Request: Human League

Postby Fred Taghon » Tue Mar 01, 2022 12:10 am

I'm hoping someone can share an Exact Audio Copy (PC) or XLD (Mac) WAV/AIFF or FLAC rip of The Human League's "Love Is All That Matters" 1988 3trk UK CDS.

I owned and long ago sold my copy of the original CD-Single manufactured by PDO, but when I try to verify the accuracy of my rip (most likely made with an early version of Toast software from way back in the day) all tracks come back as inaccurate. Now, I'm researching this CD-Single and have learned via Discogs that the original PDO disc had to be remanufactured around the mid-90's because so many of the discs were being returned to Virgin Records because of disc rot which often renders discs unplayable. I don't know if mine was defective - I don't recall it looking or sounding bad - but after discovering this, that may explain why my rip will not verify as "accurate".

So I'm curious if any readers out there might have a fully-functional PDO disc or one of the remanufactured mid-90's discs?

I appreciate the super fast help Uvox, thanks!

Unfortunately, it appears as though the FLAC files you shared may be of MY original CD rip lol. The Audiochecker log date (September 13, 2013) is right around the time I had shared a FLAC copy of my rip on a P*2*P site. I couldn't include Log and Cue files at the time because I had sold the CD several years prior, so I simply converted the AIFF files to FLAC with XLD software. And the image file is definitely my own scan of the cover art because I still have that exact image and had included it with my FLAC upload at the time. I guess it truly is a "small world" even on the internet, lol.

Thank you so much again for trying to help though, you rock!
