David Austin - This Boy Loves The Sun (12") (1984)

Just got this 12" in the mail.....finally!

Been looking for a chance to snap it up for sooo long and I can tell you.....its been worth the wait.

The 12" version is excellent, albeit a bit too short, BUT there is an amazing very jazzy piano solo improv running though alongside the sax solo.
The same piano appears on the other side where there is another (mellow) version - almost like another instrumental, although in a slightly different light, but here it is completely in the spotlight.

I was just wondering if anyone knows who plays that piano, because there is no info anywhere to be found.

So, after I clean the record I hope I will be able to successfully transfer it and upload it here.....

Discogs info for the mini album says:

Piano - Tommy Eyre

So, I'm guessing he also plays on the 12''.

I completely forgot about that elusive Japan mini album.

So thats the "famous" and underappreciated Tommy Eyre who was out there with the complete Wham! line-up for the various tv-appearances for the Make It Big! singles.
Should gave guessed it from the start.

Thanks!
