Bootleg cassette tape inserts

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

When I design covers for my bootlegs or my vinyl rips I try to make it as professional as possible including barcodes and other things that an official might have. In the case of cassette or vinyl rips, I do it trying to make a recreation of what it would have been like if it was released on CD. obviously I do it for personal use only and I avoid sharing it.

Based on successful prosecutions against bootleg cd or vinyl producers, image and logo rights seem easier to enforce than actual sound copyright.

Those are impressive covers.

Problem for me, when I try to print them, I could not get the exact shades that I want on papers. For example, when I print using Inkjet, the black is not exactly black. When using laser print, the printed images is rather dull. I have no access to offset. I'm using HP printers and coated art paper/photo papers.

In both cases when I print my covers I do it with the color profile in RGB, as if it were a color sample for a client, this makes the colors brighter. In CMYK profile the printing looks bad and dull because it is only implemented for Offset which handles another printing method.

The CMYK "Black" looks more reddish.

Set the Hue on 0 Saturation on 100 and Bright on 0.

Thanks. excellent.

I believe all my images are saved in RGB, but I'll check later. Also, I'll try to play around the settings to see how much I can improve them.
