Funky Alternatives

I just remembered that I have two compilations, titled, strangely enough, "Funky Alteratives" and "Funky Alternatives 2". Does anyone else remember these? I am going to go dig them out of my garage because I seem to recall that they have a lot of obscure songs by folks like New Order, Colourbox, Chris & Cosey, 23 Skidoo, etc.

I remember those compilations. I used to have them on a tape.
In the mid 90's, an English recording label called Dressed To Kill re-released "Funky Alternatives" on CD box set & renamed it "Industrial Virus". They just changed the name. The track listing

I think the songs from the Funky Alternatives series are essentially public domain; they've ended up on a lot of cheap comps. ROIR did a great U.S. cassette compilation in the early 90s that had most of the best stuff.

I totally agree with you, thefxc.
The Thrill Kill Kult's "Ride The Mindway" is so much better on this compilation than on their original LP.
I love that tune.[^]
