Hey everyone,

This share is pretty cool, I've been a fan of Duck You Sucker for a while. They sort of sound like a hybrid of Kaja and mid-80's era ABC. I love "Love Is Criminal" from '84 which I THOUGHT was their only single.

Recently David Titlow posted a 12" remix of a never released Duck You Sucker song on Youtube, which is, frankly, phenomenal. It's called "Romance On A Shoestring."

With a renewed interest, I started googling Duck You Sucker and found a 7" called "Slow Emotion" that I hadn't realized was released. Despite the title, the song is hi energy synthy fun! Check it out, I just uploaded it.

Their b-sides are great too, so I decided a collection is in order. Here's the tracklisting.

And Magnum, I have a challenge for you. Since it appears there's no 7" version of Romance On A Shoestring, maybe you could create one? It would be interesting to see how your process works in reverse!

The lead singer of Duck You Sucker (and Blue Mercedes) just commented on my youtube video for the Slow Emotion single. Apparently even HE didn't know this record existed...

"wow - I had completely forgotten that this existed! and on vinyl ??? I don't even have a copy of this - sounds like we were on some nutty arif mardin production attempt tip - is the B-side uploaded any where, I don't remember that at all either -"

Hi dominic.....a very interesting share! - listened to ROAS and Slow Emotion and both tracks remind me of "roman holiday" when they were at their peak,i quite like "Slow Emotion" and i have done an extended edit of that track for you - also i have shortened ROAS down to 4min 20secs.

I agree, Romance On A Shoestring is my favorite of these.
