This song is truely one of my favorite new wave songs. I never get tired of listening to it. I have a 12 inch version I bought years ago. Great samples Blir.

Man Jason, your thread really helped initiate a lot of clarity on these versions. I think you and Schwenko are right that there are fairly few studio and semi-studio versions:

LWTUA recording session 1 posted before yielded the shorter Permanent versio

LWTUA- recorded Jan and March 1980, 7" (FAC 23) released April 18 1980, 12" released June 27 1980

Last JD concert- May 2, 1980 High Hall, Birmingham University- last song Digital

There is a more current remix by the Trouser Enthusiasts. I think it was released around 2001. Pretty heavy club/trance mix - can't hold a candle to the original, but cool.

I can send off a copy if you want it.
