Hello NWO, Hope everyone is safe & well!

Please read as links will only be up for one week or less if asked to remove!

I rarely add the same artist on back to back volumes but will be making an exception this time to honor the LEGENDARY Singapore radio veteran, singer, club DJ and writer Chris Ho (Zircon Lounge) who sadly died of stomach cancer less than a month ago on Sept 27th at the age of 66. Thank you for breaking the musical barriers and becoming the pioneer of the alternative music scene in Singapore. May you R.I.P.

Lastly, it's very nice to see all the lesser known 80s tracks being shared by members recently! As for this series, we're only two months away from wrapping this chapter up so let’s get into the final stretch with Volumes 61 & 62! Thanks for sticking around!

I encourage you to give each track a listen at some point as you may be pleasantly surprised....

I have done my best to remaster all the tracks included here! If I have used tracks that have appeared on others previous compilations, I apologize as this was not intentional! I simply wanted to share them in lossless WAV format with the best sound possible.

Please note, this in NO way is intended to take away sales from any of the artists included here but rather a way to discover or rediscover these timeless masterpieces as many of them have never officially appeared on CD or are long "Out Of Print". Please support these bands if they should have material available! They deserve all the credit!

Thanks Gaz, great stuff again. One typo: Thorns was performed by Vince Lawrence. Z-Factor is the label.

Hello Ris, thanks for the heads up however I believe the label was actually Mitchbal Records and the collaborated group went under the name Z-Factor (featuring Jesse Saunders/Vince Lawrence). I decided to leave it as it appears on the original record and Japanese CD. For this reason I will leave as is.

I always try to find info on Discogs about the featured bands. But I can't find The Swing, Citi Child, Belle Amore and John Victor.

Any news on them, are they from a compilation album?

Ris, The actual spelling for "Belle Amore" is "Belle Elmore"! Sorry, damn auto correct! You can find their ep on Discogs however the track I used is off their only other 7" which isn't listed anywhere. I may add it on Discogs down the road. As for the other bands, I will find the records again and share with you....Thanks buddy! PS: Gary, correct your artwork for accuracy.... Thx

17. Jules - Friends 300 (83)

This one is actually Julia Fordham....who would find fame in the late 80s with a completely different style of music far removed from this curious synthpop number, but still very interesting to hear this.

I do the same thing as Rissan! Sometimes they are not on discogs, and I might find something about them on youtube, or then google/duckduckgo. If a band's name is more common, it becomes much harder to find.

I like it when I see a song that I thought was unknown, and it appears on these. I *love* it when I hear a song I like that I've never heard before! And there are times when there are artists from a compilation, and then the compilation is amazing. I had first listened to this compilation (War Give You...The Freedom To Rock) because of Chiefs of Relief and Pleasure and the Beast, and then found all these other fantastic songs. It's been reissued digitally with a slightly different title, but Gazebo put several songs in these series.

As always, thanks for the upload!
