Just recently rediscovered this album. First time I remember being heavily underwhelmed. This time, after numerous listens, only a couple of songs stick out as stinkers, the rest is solid to say the least (though a bit too reliant on chorus repetitions). Also started to notice how much they owed Ultravox and Visage - like a straight copy in places. Though it was only common for Australian synthpop/rock scene.

Their second album is as good, if not better overall (though I hated it on first listen ). Makes me wonder what happened to halt their progress so abruptly - internationally and even on home turf.
