Seems like nobody cares about "1234"

What about "P Machinery (Short Beta)" clocking in at 7:44? I always thought this was a demo version or an unedited version from the "P Machinery (Beta)" master tape, but I have never been able to confirm or deny this. This is the version that has what sounds like some studio banter during the intro with Claudia practicing the "HA!" vocal.

"Short Beta" is not an official version title. It was just called "p:Machinery (Beta)" on the compilations it appeared on. It's not a demo, but rather just an edit of "(The Beta Wraparound of) p:Machinery", with the introductory banter added.

Speaking of personal dislikes... The Testaments and Disturbdances, along with the rest of the The Eight Testaments of Propaganda release, seem to be just demos and unfinished ideas that were originally left unreleased for good reason. I don't consider them part of the Propaganda canon.

At this point, I think the next step is for Paul Morley would name and sell his own turds. "Tikka Masala Requiem (mass for a pandemic)"...buy now!

Maybe that's a harsh take, but most musicians and record companies have enough sense to keep their "unsurpassed masters" in the bins, not give them newly minted titles and pretend they're long-lost works that people should want to pay money to hear.
