.....just thought I would share this one because I was just as surprised as probably any of you hearing it for the first time......

https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/1481848117

The guy behind it is Peter Griffin (real name Peter Kamp RIP)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Griffin_(singer)

Anyway......just as i have heard the bass kicking in, I thought to my self......."this sounds vaguely familiar...." and then a few seconds later everything was pretty blatantly obvious.......
Its always interesting to hear such an oddity, but looking at the credits on discogs and the label itself, I was really surprised that there is absolutely no mention at all what a complete and utter rip-off of xxxxx xxxxxxx ( :D ) this is.....

Here is a 128kbps rip just for information purposes......

It's a rip-off of what exactly?

in my audioplayer, these tracks - and the corresponding images - refer to Koffin Kats...... Instrumental track is NOT instrumental, it seems to be a shorter version of "vocal" track....
can you explain what the plagiarism is??

.....well....frankly, I am amazed that only Drivel (or it seems so) has managed to recognize it so far....
.....I honestly thought that you guys have really finely tuned ears ( )......and this is really not a rare / obscure track at all.....
.....dont listen to the vocals.....only instrumental parts in the background (bass line / chord progression) really matter.....thats where the clue is.....

....but if you still havent got it, see what you think after you have listened to this tune you should be quite familiar with.....

....I am actually really curious about the release date, but since this one (one of my favorite singles from the duo) entered the UK charts on the 7th of may 1983 (according to ultimate music database), my guess is that mr.Griffin probably released his 7&12" in the second part of the year.....
