Hello NWO,

It's been a while and I hope everyone is safe and well! It's great to see members continuing to share and expose the forgotten acts of the 80's!

For those interested, I've decided to continue the LBNF series for what should be the last time beginning on Friday June 3rd to Dec 31st 2022.

As in the past, I'll be sharing two volumes every Friday and focus primarily on rare, obscure & forgotten 80s!

Lastly, during the past five months, I noticed there were a couple corrections to be made on a few of the previous volumes (sorry). Please see below:

Wow, this is great news! I have a lengthy post about the series going up shortly, but a few questions on the series:


Eight Point Five Mary had a runtime of 3:43 - was that from a 7' single? Where was Doug Cameron's Mona 4:56 from?

Who are Luke, Citi Child and Music Department? I couldn't find any information on the songs or the artists for them.

(EDIT): I believe Projecto Azul - the track "Projecto Azul" is actually New Sides.

I have been trying to get my hands on a top copy of this 12" for ages, but it proved to be anything but easy,
so since you have been so kind to remaster the b-side - Second Prize, would it be possible to share the a-side of this amazing 12" as well ?

In regards to questions below:

Eight Point Five Mary had a runtime of 3:43 - was that from a 7' single? (Yes, not sure which one I used as there were a few 7" releases)

Where was Doug Cameron's Mona 4:56 from? (Long story short, It's an edit of the LP version that Dave and I did over 20 years ago when writing a column for a local music magazine (The Bridge) and the person in charge wanted to give a Canadian 80s cd-r to subscribers but the tracks submitted had to be under 5 minutes lol)

Who are Luke, Citi Child and Music Department? I couldn't find any information on the songs or the artists for them. (Very rare 45's and I'll try to share pics)

(EDIT): I believe Projecto Azul - the track "Projecto Azul" is actually New Sides. (Funny you mention this and yes you're correct! The track is strangely mislabeled on my cd "Various – Sons E Temas / Rock Rendez Vous 1985". Thanks for noticing this and I will correct in next few days)

Just last week, I clicked into the NWO and thought to myself, I wish Paul would make a come back. 2022 has been dull without you buddy! You got us through 2 years of Covid and now we need you to get us through this once again scary time in the world.

Thank you for posting those pictures. Citi Child and Music Department will remain a mystery, but Luke can probably be found, I just have to dig deeper. My first comments on the label - Sven Taits was an engineer (assistant?) in the 80s and worked on releases such as Adam Ant, Prefab Sprout, Flock of Seagulls and others. Good Earth Studios in London was Tony Visconti's, now known as Dean Street. Maybe I'll see if they have any further information
