SHARE: REPACKED!!! The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's Volume 233

### SORRY for those who downloaded this volume already, the counter was on 67 just a moment ago, but I was triggered by something last night when I did some research on Paul Haig.
### Turned out I completely missed the production work of Alan Rankine (with Paul Haig) on the first album of Stephen Harrison. Then the search continued and I found the Long version of Kites by 39, Lyon Street and the b-sides of the
### Pleasure Ground singles. so I changed the track list of CD02, Also because I had chosen the wrong track of Boris Grebenshikov, and added an extra disc to this volume.
### My apoligizes for bringing this volume up so quickly but on the other hand you receive an extra disc of listening as a bonus. There is a new link at this bottom of this post.

Volume 233 The Associates Collection…

Or what were Alan Rankine and Billy MacKenzie up to in the eighties.

Part of The Unknown Beauty Of The 80’s compilation series.

Alan Rankine and Billy Mackenzie are best known for his membership of The Associates and their solo work. Besides that Alan Rankine was one of the household producers of Les Disques Du Crépuscule records and played on various, sometimes also produced, singles and albums.

On The Other hand Billy MacKenzie delivered his solo work mainly during the nineties, and worked a lot with Yello in the eighties. When featured on other artists recordings, it was basically his (backing) vocals, although he produced the bands The Sensational Creed, Sweden Thrü The Ages and Jih.

With this volume I honour the production and guest appearances of Alan Rankine and Billy MacKenzie for various artists during the eighties.

Thank you Rissan, this caught my attention with the Associates connection, never realized they did so much work in the 80s outside of The Associates music.
