Eddy Grant's "Time Warp"

Postby Fred Taghon » Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:28 am

I've loved Eddy Grant's instrumental track, "Time Warp" since first hearing it as the B-side of 1982's "Electric Avenue". Then to discover the 6-minute version on the 12" single blew my mind!

Of course, over the years I learned that it was actually (and shockingly) recorded and released in 1977 as the B-side of the "Nobody's Got Time" single credited to "The Coachouse Rhythm Section", an Eddy Grant alias.

Is anyone aware of this track being available anywhere on CD? I've only found it on a Louie Vega compilation which is a nonstop mix and it appears to be from vinyl.

I do have my own vinyl transfer from my "Electric Avenue" 12" single which sounds really good, but I would LOVE to have it in full, flawless digital quality.
