The funny thing of searching for New Wave acts is that you now and then stumble on a band that didn't make the eigthies or changed names in 1980 to take another tack.
Over the past few years I collected a bunch of new wave songs all released in 1979. You can hear the rawness, sometimes even without keyboards, that reminds you of the Punk and Power Pop influences that were stil very much around in those days.
As a small side project to The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's, which to be honest accommodated some late seventies tracks over the years as well, I present to you the compilation "A Year Too Early: Never Made It Into The 80's" with 24 tracks all recorded and released during 1979. Up for a week.
The tracks:
01. Model Citizens - Shift The Blame (1:47)
