Joanna Stingray, the US rock musician, is best known for her gigantic efforts in promoting Soviet "red wave" music throughout the West in perestroika times. She was a frequent visitor to the then Soviet Union in late 80-ies and was even married (shortly) to a musician of the top red wave group KINO.

This compilation album consists of English versions of songs by Soviet wave stars - Aquarium, Kino, Strange Games and Alice, together with the other evergreens, which were arranged and recorded with the participation of American session musicians at a studio in Malibu in the 80s. Joanna wrote English lyrics to the music of her friends, Soviet rock musicians, which were often not a literal translation of the Russian originals and had a different meaning.
