Duran Duran's "911 is a Joke"

Duran Duran's "911 is a Joke"

Do my ears decieve me? Am I hearing this for real? Oddly, this doesn't sound like a typical Duran Duran song, not even their later "ordinary world"-like sounds.

This has got to be one of the most bizarre covers ever. Way up there. Into the bizarro world stratosphere. Public Enemy singing "Hungry like the wolf" sounds more believable.

I've got a bootleg cd of DD, and tagged on the end is 4 different mixes of them doing "White Lines" by Melle Mell (or was it Grandmaster Flash?)

This cover is HORRIBLE. And I am an old-school Duranimal. "911" does not sound like them, even in their newer incarnation in 1997-ish, and by that time they weren't sounding that good ( imo)
