I posted about this about a year ago (give or take), maybe with some new members I can get an answer...

Night Flight showed a short film/music video about 5-7 minutes long. THe plotline was some aliens come down from their mothership and play a song live in concert. Guitar/bass/drums/keys/femal vox.
I vaguely remember the chorus being something like

Rocket to stardom
Play the Paladium
Give me a zip gun
I know what you say

At the end one of the aliens cuts it's finger, a drop of gold blood drips onto the floor where it turns into a guitar pick.

I have had 100% zero luck finding anything about this at all.

Good news for Ollie!!! I just got an email from Dan Halperin, producer/director of Rocket To Stardom. He's going to look around for a copy of the film for me! 18 years of searching and I'm (hopefully) getting it directly from the source. Damn I love th

Just an update if anyone cares:

Halperin is sending me his 16mm film print to transfer to Digibeta and then DVD. While I was very hopeful of getting an 8th generation VHS I am now getting on loan his master print. It doesn't get any higher quality th

I don't want to get anyone's hope up, just in case the whole thing goes splat, but if it's OK with the producer I will distribute to those interested. IF it's OK.

Well well well...

Today at work I received 2 packages from FedEx sent by Dan Halperin. Contained in one of the boxes was a 3/4" tape of Dan's 1983 demo reel and the last thing on there was a film/video called "Rocket To Stardom" by a band called The O

That is fantastic Ollie. It's unbelievable that he actually got around to finding the film and ship it. What a guy. I would love to see the footage if you ever get an opportunity to share it.
