Fear's "Beef Bologna"

Fear's "Beef Bologna"

Postby British » Thu Sep 09, 2004 11:49 pm

Okay, weird story behind this song.

I saw some movie many many years ago on HBO. It took place in the early 80s. It was about this kid's camp where the kids violently revolt against the counselors and take over.

Well, before the takeover there's a talent show. These unruly kids start singing Fear's "Beef Bologna". I misheard it as "beefaroni", but it's still a dang funny song. Needless to say the counselors put a stop to the song halfway.

Then just yesterday I heard the Fear release of it, and had no idea it was a real song! I thought it was just unique to the movie.

Perverted but funny song.

One of the many great tracks on what I consider one of the quintessential punk album, period. Fear - The Record. Every tracks kicks ass with some of the tightest sounds, and funny as hell lyrics.
